Early Life and Political Career

Sir Anthony Charles Lynton Blair, better known as Tony Blair, was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on May 6, 1953. He studied law at the University of Oxford and went on to practice at a London law firm. Blair's interest in politics led him to join the Labour Party in 1975.

Leadership of the Labour Party

Blair rose through the ranks of the Labour Party, becoming its leader in 1994. He modernized the party's image and policies, moving it from its traditional left-wing stance to a more centrist position.
